Where To Stay In Udaipur

Princely comfort abounds at the Heritage Hotels.

The alluring Rajasthani hospitality is legendary and a stay at one of the many hotels in Udaipur just exemplifies it.

Palaces of yesteryears have today been converted into splendid heritage hotels. These hotels provide world-class comfort and amenities while retaining their ethnic appeal and rustic charm.

Udaipur is called the City of Lakes and some of the splendid stay options are in and around the lakes in the city. However, these properties are also amongst the most expensive. The Lake Palace Hotel on an island in Lake Pichola is at the high end. Jagat Niwas Palace Hotel is another heritage hotel.

Good options in the mid range include the Visnhupriya at Gulab Bagh and Mahendra Prakash on Lake Palace Road. Room tariffs at Mahendra Prakash start at Rs. 800 and go onto Rs. 3500. The Tiger Deluxe Guesthouse cum Spa & Restaurant is also an option. Room tariffs range from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 2900 a night.

Economy class hotels include Hotel Ganguar Palace at the Gangaur Ghat. Rates start at Rs. 400 per night. Pleasure Guest House and Anjani Hotel offer comfortable stay options. All the popular places of interest are also very close from these hotels.
